🎤 Is This Singer Even Real? | A viral Spotify artist with millions of streams appears to be AI-generated, highlighting how quickly fake creators are blending into music platforms. Parents and educators, now’s a great time to help kids think critically about what they’re consuming online.

🎮 Roblox’s AI Age Checks Are Struggling | Roblox’s new face-scanning age verification is mislabeling users and has already been exploited with “verified” accounts reportedly being sold online. Send this to a friend whose child is on Roblox. Safety features are helpful, but they’re not foolproof. More than any feature, your child needs you involved.

🤖 Ads Are Coming to ChatGPT | OpenAI will begin testing ads inside ChatGPT for free and low-cost accounts. While the company says ads won’t influence answers or be shown to users under 18, this is a good reminder to help kids recognize advertising inside AI tools and check their personalization settings. Review our full ChatGPT guide here.

🚨 AI Deepfakes Cross a Dangerous Line | Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot is facing global bans after generating sexualized images, including content involving minors. If a real child is ever depicted this way, even by AI, please report it to NCMEC’s CyberTipline. Parents, talk with your kids about deepfakes and the importance of consent and using AI responsibly.

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS
Parent ProTech + A21: A Powerful Partnership to Protect Kids 💛

Families shouldn’t have to navigate today’s digital risks alone. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to partner with A21, one of the most trusted and effective anti-human trafficking organizations in the world.

They are trusted by governments, schools, and law enforcement agencies across six continents, and their work has helped thousands find safety and freedom.

Together, A21 and Parent ProTech are bringing world-class expertise and practical, family-centered education into schools and homes, focused on prevention and action.

Through this partnership, we’ve built:

  • K-12 classroom lessons and videos that teach students to spot red flags, avoid oversharing, and respond when something feels off

  • A 4-part parent video series that walks families through grooming, sextortion, why kids don’t speak up, and what to do when something doesn’t feel right

For older students, lessons like Connected With Confidence show how small bits of personal information can add up and how predators use those puzzle pieces to manipulate and groom kids.

The digital world has changed childhood forever. This partnership exists to make sure families don’t face that risk alone. It’s not about fear. It’s about helping kids grow up safer and more confident in our connected world.

What Students Are Learning in Parent ProTech Classrooms 📝

While our partnership with A21 focuses on serious safety threats, Parent ProTech is also about the everyday habits and decisions that shape kids long before a crisis happens.

Here are two of our favorite lessons ProTech classrooms are using right now:

  • Students learn that what they click, search, and share leaves a trail, and that small choices help shape their digital story.

  • Students learn how AI and algorithms shape what they see and think, and how to move from autopilot to intentional tech use.

Parent ProTech helps students build digital wisdom, not just digital rules, from kindergarten to graduation.

PROTECTING YOUR FAMILY
It’s Time for a Screen Time Reset 😬

Are you proud of your screen time?

Quick confession: We often look at our Screen Time report and think, “There is no way I’ve been on my phone that much.”

Turns out… there was, in fact, a way. 😬

That’s the real power of Screen Time. Most of us (adults included) underestimate how much we scroll. Whether you have an iPhone or Android, we challenge you to turn on this tool to monitor how much time you’re spending on your device.

iPhone/iPad: Settings → Screen Time → Turn On
Android: Settings → Digital Wellbeing or Google Family Link

Turn it on for your kids. And yes… for yourself too.

Then ask one honest question:
Is this how we want to be spending our time?

We say the goal isn’t simply less screen time. Our goal is more intentional time off screens.

More intentional meals.
More intentional conversations.
More intentional presence with those we love.

Use Screen Time to shape habits. Use your time together to shape hearts.
